These vintage stacking chairs, were made by a company called Bamco in England, most likely in the 1950’s. The back rest and seat are made from a very hard and durable bakelite material, with steel frames that are now quite distressed, which just adds to their character.
The frames bear a label with the makers name and Made in England.
Popular in the 1950’s and 1960’s, these authentic chairs were found not only in schools, but in hospitals, community centres and church halls, as they took up much less space when stacked.
These vintage stacking chairs are ideal for the home, a cafe or restaurant, or office, wanting a vintage look.
The chairs are in good condition, though do have noticeable surface marks and age-related wear consistent with their age and use.
Note: the cost is for one chair only and are only sold in multiples of 2. There are a total of 6 chairs available.
