Ceramic White Gluggle Jug

Ceramic White Gluggle Jug

Our hugely popular fish-shaped ceramic white Gluggle Jug, was originally made back in the 1870’s, by Thomas Forester & Son, based in Staffordshire and for many years were used by the breweries, to advertise Plymouth Gin!

When filled with liquid, air is trapped in the fish’s tail and as that liquid is poured out again, the air is gradually released and produces a surprisingly loud gurgling or ‘gluggling’ sound, which makes for a great conversation piece at the dinner table or at parties.

This versatile ceramic white Gluggle Jug can be used for water or wine, to hold utensils, or as a vase.
