Vintage Brown Glass Apothecary Bottles

This is a set of three small vintage brown glass apothecary bottles, were very popular in the early 1900’s for the storage of medicines and chemical compounds.

The word apothecary, which entered the English language in the 14th Century, derives from the Latin word apothēca, meaning “storehouse.” It became a title for the person who was skilled in preparing medicines.

This set is labelled as follows: Senega D3; Lachesis D12 and Natr. Sulf. D6

These vintage brown glass apothecary bottles would work well together in a bathroom, with some other vintage finds, or could be used as a bud vase.
